Houston Italian Restaurants
Houston is blessed with great Italian restaurants. There are traditional “old world” and incredible “Tuscan” inspired favorites. Recently one of Houston’s favorites was torn down (Michelangelos) never to be seen again. Old world style we will all miss.
Sorrento Ristorante – I am serious! I have eaten 2 of the top 10 meals of my life under their roof. Incredible fare, service and atmosphere. 415 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006 713) 527-0609 My favorite is the sea bass, following my favorite butternut squash soup.
Carrabba’s – I love to go to the original location or Rosa Maria’s when possible, but since I live in the Clear Lake area, the local “franchised owned” on Bay Area Blvd. is almost as good. My favorite is to start with the lintel soup and then a medium rare ribeye “Bryanized” with saute’d spinach. Ask for powdered Parmesan cheese and add it to the herb/spices and olive oil to dip the bread into. Eye rolling goodness.
Piccolo Italian Cafe – Mom and Pop restaurant serving pasta and other Italian favorites
