Chef
Chan's - Chef Chan's restaurant is authentic
Chinese at its finest. For more than 25 years Chef Chan's restaurant
has served the north Houston area.
The restaurant was founded by a 4-star
New York chef, the cuisine is authentic and unique. The
menu includes some typical Chinese selections
as Shrimp Toast, Crab Cheese Puffs but items such as their Chicken
Soong is a specialty. Step away from the traditional buffet
and enter a real Chinese atmosphere. The
steamed dumplings are one of a
kind and the best in Houston.

Cafe
Chino - When I am working inside the loop and hungry
for great chinese food, this is my choice. Tucked away on
a side parking lot in the Rice Village, Cafe Chino's is one
of my favorite chinese restaurants.
Their General Tso's is fantastic. I also
like their Walnut Chicken. Spring rolls, soups, all have been delicious.
It is moderately priced.
Bing's Asian Bistro -
OMG! This place has great food! Located on FM 1097 on the north
side of the main part of Lake Conroe, this is worth the drive if you
are in the area. Coming back from Dallas on I-45??? Turn
right (West) on 1097 in Willis and drive 4.4 miles. (On the left in
the strip mall right after the first small bridge over the lake.)
Try their Crispy Honey covered Shrimp
or their Asparagus Beef dinner. The Hot and Sour soup for two
feeds four! Everything I have had there is delicious.
I live on Lake Conroe and this is the
best restaurant to open in this area in a long while.

Szechwan Garden -
When I am in the Clear Lake/League City area, I try to get by Szechwan
Garden on 518 (Main Street) in League City. Between I 45 and
Hwy 3, this neighborhood Chinese restaurant is a winner.
Great soups. I recommend them all. Their
Beef and Broccoli in garlic sauce is one of my favorites along with
their General Tso. Family owned and operated, the locals love
this place.
